Assessment criteria used by Durham City Freemen to evaluate candidate’s
nomination for the Apprenticeship Award Scheme.

Nominated apprentices should have made a significant contribution throughout their apprenticeship, showing commitment and a positive attitude as well as adding additional value within their role.
Candidates should be able to provide evidence of outstanding achievement through the quality of work carried out and how this benefits people, organisations or businesses around them.
Demonstrated a high level of skills and determination to succeed in their chosen field.
Proven commitment by an apprentice to continued personal development.
Shown resilience in adapting and overcoming challenges that they may have incurred as part of their apprenticeship journey.

Durham City Freemen Apprentice Award Scheme seeks to acknowledge and celebrate apprentices' exceptional contributions to their trade and their workplaces. We are looking for apprentices who make a real difference to the organisation they work in, by exceeding expectations and delivering measurable benefits. They may have introduced a new idea or initiative that has impacted on the organisation, improved procedures and systems, or made an important contribution to the development of a product or special project.
