The evening commenced with an address by the Mayor welcoming everyone and thanking them for their assistance in making his year memorable.
We were then entertained by the youngsters of the Youth Connection Theatre Company who sang a melody of songs from well known film and stage productions. They were excellent and so talented. We were very well served with cheese and biscuits, many of them local cheeses, and refreshments. We were also invited to explore parts of the Town Hall which are not normally open to see. Fascinating!
Our evening was splendid and it was really nice to meet other Freemen ladies. It would be lovely if we could get more ladies involved and you can, the next meeting of Members is on 10th September at 6pm in the Town Hall. Come along.
